Landskrona – Focus: Turkey invited us to an exciting meeting with a very rich photo country on the border between Europe and Asia that is an unknown territory for many with a place for both the classic photo of documentary and for the innovative contemporary art.
At the exhibition old and new photography met, as the exhibition showed both modern Turkish photographers that challenged the limits of photography in a collaboration with the Istanbul Museum of Moderna Art and the more established, well known and legendary name in international photography such as Ara Güler (1928-), Vilhelm Berggren (1835-1920) and Lütfi Özkök (1923–). Several of the photographies at the exhibition were never shown before in Scandinavia.
