‘Nuove Traiettorie’ stems from the collaboration between the Italian Cultural Institute in Stockholm and the Municipality of Reggio Emilia to promote Young Italian Photography – Luigi Ghirri Award. Since 2023, ‘Nuove Traiettorie’ has offered the opportunity to one of the finalists of the Luigi Ghirri Prize to spend an artist residency in Stockholm, resulting in an original exhibition. The Luigi Ghirri Prize is an open call award promoted by the Municipality of Reggio Emilia as part of Fotografia Europea, one of Italy’s leading photography festivals.
Eleonora Agostini won the first edition of ‘Nuove traiettorie’ and thus spent a few weeks in Stockholm at our institute during summer 2023. The result of her residency was the original exhibition ‘Leave the door open’, which opened in March 2024 at the Italian Cultural Institute in Stockholm.
The winner of ‘Nuove Traiettorie’ 2024 is Claudia Amatruda.
