A conversation on stage in Café Nell Walden between photographer Håkan Karlsson and Hans Jonsson about his work and the exhibition.

Welcome to a photography exhibition featuring works by photographer Håkan Karlsson. The exhibition will be on display from May 11 to September 29, 2024.

On New Year’s Day 2019, the first of 365 photos was taken. The plan was to capture one photo each day for 365 days. During the pandemic, the project “En dag i taget” emerged. The project is a retrospective photographic diary, chronological by date but not by year—one photo for each day.

In his photos, Håkan Karlsson captures scenes from both Skåne and Europe, depicting environments, everyday life, and people. The exhibition features a small selection from the project’s total of 366 images.

Håkan Karlsson was the 2022 recipient of the Nell Walden Scholarship, awarded to someone who works in the spirit of Nell Walden. Håkan is active in the city where Nell grew up and continually strives to promote culture in Landskrona. He has served as the editor of Landskrona Direkt since 2003 and also runs Galleri Direkt. In 2020, he received the Landskrona Kulturstipendium and participated in the Landskrona Foto Festival with exhibitions at Galleri Direkt through Foto Friends in 2022 and 2020. He also participated in “Landskronit” in 2016 and 2018, an event that brought together local photographers at Landskrona Konsthall.

The exhibition is located in the museum’s Café Nell Walden.
