Since 2017, the cultural editorial of Helsingborgs Dagblad gives out a yearly Photo prize to defend the journalism of images. The recipient of the year of 2018 was Alexander Mahmoud.
From December 2018, Landskrona Foto and Helsingborgs Dagblad produced an exhibition with Alexanders often self-revealing private images. At the exhibition there was also one of the most noted images – the one of the laughing members of the Swedish academy, Kristina Lugn and Horace Engdahl.
