Zexuan Zeng (b. 1997, South China) studied Visual Communication at Shanghai Normal University and began working as a freelance artist and designer in 2016. In 2021, he moved to Germany to study at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne, where he graduated in 2025.
Zexuan is the Landskrona Foto Autumn 2025 residency artist. His work explores the boundary between reality and fiction, using photography to investigate memory and emotion. During his residency, he works with performative situations, archival material, and staged images to show how images can shape the way we see the world. In his talk, he will discuss his work and the projects he is developing in Landskrona.
