In 2018 “A way away” – Swedish Photographers explore the world 1862–2018” the last one of Landskrona Foto’s trilogy of historic exhibitions of photography was conducted and the ambition was to show how Swedish photographers have travelled and seen the world through the eye of the camera.
At the exhibition you could see stories of the images, born out of curiosity, interest and worshipping, random, conviction, ordinance and force and study purposes. The photographers were there – sometimes merely by coincidence, sometimes after devoted, arduous journeys of thousands of miles. They were gone over night, for months, sometimes for the rest of their lives.
The exhibition was produced in collaboration with Nordiska museet.
